New Art Focus this Season

What happens when an artist sits in front of the canvas?
Sometimes there’s a direction and a plan. Other times, I paint what the spirt moves me to do.
This series of abstracts features images based on Mayan headdresses, temples, pyramids, culture and ancient practices observed in the Yucatan region. Feathers, plumed serpents, cacao, jade, and jaguars are featured, as well as masks observed on ancient temples. The colours used provide that abstract feel to ancient images.
