Jennylynd first discovered her passion for painting in the small seaside village of Tramore in Waterford County, Ireland. She then pursued private instruction where she was able to learn oil and acrylic painting techniques as well as portraiture. Influenced largely by her Caribbean heritage, Jennylynd uses bright, vivid colours and imagery of Carnival, theatre, dance and food.
“I want my work to evoke joy and goodwill in the observer. I try to extract beauty in everyday objects and situations, giving a unique character in my paintings.”
